“In keeping with the times, Tigers czar Jim Campbell has a policy which allows female journalists into the baseball club’s locker room. But last week, Channel 2 reporter Anne Doyle said, a “little Napoleon-type guard” refused to grant her entry. Instead, he ushered her into a side room, where the players were going to be brought in one by one for interviews. Miss Doyle bickered with the guard, and eventually the dressing room manager let her in. So, what’s the naked about the policy? A Tigers spokesman said the incident with Miss Doyle was all a misunderstanding. She can indeed enter the sacred digs, which probably makes Ron LeFlore happy since he was yelling “Come on in” during the whole ordeal.”
